The Bay Theatre is operated by the Bay Community Theatre, a volunteer run, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization.

Our mission is to enhance the access and appreciation for cinema, performing, and literary arts by providing a local venue for cultural, intellectual and educational programs, and to maintain and protect the historic Bay Theater building.

Established in 1946, The Bay Theatre has brought warmth and entertainment to the community for over 70 years. In 2019, The Bay Theatre began operating as a non-profit theater.  Over the decades The Bay Theatre has filled the screen with countless wonderful films, hosted dozens of fine musicians on stage as well as live theatre, community fundraisers, and other special events.

Recognized as one of the original “arthouse” theatres with its innovative selection of mainstream, indie and foreign films, The Bay Theatre remains committed to its role as a meeting place where the arts and the community come together.

We have many great films, music and events planned and a new way for you, our valued patrons, to take full advantage of our offerings.

As a non-profit, Bay Community Theatre depends on the support of members of our community.
