Help Us Revitalize
The Bay Community Theatre!
and have your donation matched!
Our beloved 70+ year old theatre needs some love and this is a perfect time to help!
The Bay Community Theatre is partnering with Patronicity and the Public Spaces Community Places program of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) to raise funds for important and long-needed improvements in our historic venue. These improvements include an investment of $100,000 to replace all the seats in the theatre, refinish our vintage hardwood floors, and install new aisle lighting.
What does this partnership mean? It means your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar if we reach our fundraising goal of $50,000.

About The Bay Community Theatre
The Bay Theatre has been serving northern Michigan for more than 70 years. In late 2018, thanks to strong community support, The Bay was saved from permanent closure and began operating as a 501(c)3 non-profit theatre under the name Bay Community Theatre. Today, “The Bay” is run mostly by volunteers, is open 7 days a week, and is visited by more than 15,000 people each year. The theatre is the only movie theatre in our county and has become a cherished community gathering place for movies, live music, and community events.
